We had arrived in Sardinia late on the previous evening, collected the hire car, found the first night stopover accommodation and hit the hay.
Then, on waking, we had a breakfast of half a leftover cheese and ham ciabatta and set off to discover whatever the north of Sardinia had to offer. What we found was lovely, picturesque and peaceful. However, by 6pm we were ready to eat but the local restaurants were not ready to serve until at least 7pm. Having had a preprandial libation earlier we fell pray to the only available option.
No. This was the wrong decision. Lesson learned.
