We love food. We enjoy the experience of eating it, wherever we may find it. Perhaps not in bins, but you understand what we mean. At home, or out and about with friends, in cafes, pubs, restaurants and almost anywhere else.
We have had great food in a few restaurants with red stars, and great food out of paper bags from street food stalls. We have been fortunate to have travelled travel quite widely and have enjoyed trying previously unknown foods in new places.
Food festivals are always of interest, but we always especially enjoy those unexpected meals and snacks encountered through serendipity.
We often reminisce about foods we have eaten and remember holidays, trips and other events by the food we ate at the time: the breakfast here, the supper then, the cheese pies there. So, during one of these trips down memory lane we started to feel we should have written a few notes about the food we have enjoyed at the time we enjoyed it, just in case when we are even older our mental faculties no longer allow the tastes, smells, sights and sounds to be recalled. We also quite like words.
So, here we are, two Old People Eating. Please feel free to comment on anything we write and make suggestions if you think there are things you have eaten that you think we should try.
